How to use Gel Pads 101
Happy Thursday, Lash Bosses.
Today, we'll discuss the importance of eyelash under-eye pads and what you can do to try to help troubleshoot any problems you may have.
Picking the proper eye pad and correct placement is one of the most critical steps in your lash set.
I'm here to help ease the struggle and give you three tips to pack away in your lash artist toolbox. Let's jump into it.
Proper PlacementThe first step I take is ensuring I have the ideal placement for each client.
I always make sure I'm correctly placing the pads the first time, so I don't have to go back and fix my work later.
I do that by ensuring that I'm using the proper size pad for their eyes. In doing so, I determine where I need to cut to get the best fit in the inner corner.
Double Check Your Pad Ingredients
As lash artists, we know that each of our clients is beautifully individual and unique, and so is their skin.
This means that you must choose the proper under-eye pads for each client based on allergies and sensitivities. This is a critical step in selecting a solid product for your client.
You should always be asking if your client has any allergies or sensitivities at the beginning of the consultation.
For example, have they started any new medications, or are they pregnant?
These scenarios can affect the PH of the skin and hormone levels, making reactions pop up.
Pamper, Pamper, Pamper
My last lash tip for going that extra mile in your client experience is by providing them with a friendly, luxurious experience.
Your choice of eye pads is essential and should promote a relaxing atmosphere overall.
To help create this atmosphere, I also like to use aromatherapy and use eye pads with spa-like ingredients.
So there you have it; these are my three tips to offer exceptional service to your clients and giving them the most comfortable and hassle-free appointment possible.
