How Your Clients Can Get Better Lash Retentions
At the end of the day, we all want our lashes to last as long as possible right?
As a lash tech, you never know for sure what your clients know and don't know unless you ask. Eyelash extensions are not permanent, and they will eventually fall out.

Sleep On Your Back:
Yes, sleeping on your stomach or side can be very comfortable. However, it is not ideal for those with lash extensions. Here’s why. Sleeping with your face in your pillow can cause lashes to fall out much faster.
It may take some time to get used to, but it'll be worth it!
Don’t Rub Your Eyes:
We’re all guilty of rubbing our eyes once in a while. Many of us do it without even thinking about it.
It is one of those bad habits worth breaking sooner than later. In addition to shortening the life of eyelash extensions, it can also spread bacteria and cause infections.
Avoid Mascara:
Even with lash extensions, some of your clients may still want to wear mascara. As you know, that is not recommended, but they may not know that! All the oils in mascara and makeup remover can dissolve the eyelash glue, causing the lashes to fall out much sooner.
Final Thoughts:
As we’ve mentioned a few times on the blog, you are more than a lash technician. You are also a teacher and a friend. Remind your clients that there is no such thing as a stupid question, and you are always there to answer their questions.
